The Scoop on Me 

I am a 28 year old Bosnian refugee that settled in the good ol' Midwest back in the late 90's. I grew up with amazing parents, no siblings, but plenty of cousins to fill the void (if there ever was one-i actually enjoyed riding solo). I grew up to be a total science and political nerd, and have worked in the medical field since entering the career world.

I am happily married and have two beautiful kids, that will for sure be the reason that my blonde strands turn gray. BUT I wouldn't have it any other way. I love traveling, making lists that I never check off, indulging in good food, reading, heavy metal, and fall (particularly the month of October because of my love for the dark and spooky).

I come off very much the life of the party, but am actually a complete loner. I keep a small circle of friends, though I can get along with just about anyone (unless you test me-jokes...but not really). Some would describe me as aggressive or blunt, but I like to consider it passionate and honest. I am sarcastic by nature, and a complete goofball at times, so don't be surprised by the variety of emotion that may convey through my words.

If you follow me on any of my social media platforms, or have discussions with me in person, you will know I do not shy away from speaking out on about anything-no matter how controversial or sensitive. My goal with this blog is to create a safe space for real and raw conversations-the type that will make you want to engage and learn.

Before I let you dive into the content, I want you to know, at times my posts may make you uncomfortable, they may make you laugh, maybe cry, maybe angry, but the one thing I hope they ALWAYS do is make you see and understand a different perspective. I welcome all with open arms (metaphorically because I hate hugs).
